Dallas Mapleshade
In 2008, I created Dallas Mapleshade — a fictional character. Dallas is a sardonic caricature of an aspiring actress and singer. She is delusional and egomaniacal, believing she is incredibly talented and on the brink of fame.
Dallas poured her heart into vlog confessions on Youtube met with lots of angry yet curious viewers and subscribers. Her universe grew through seven years and 65 videos including music videos, short films, and original songs. Dallas is also the main character of my mockumentary feature film, #BLESSED, as well as a three part short narrartive series that I have never released.
